How an affiliate link works

If a reader follows a clearly labeled paid link and completes a qualifying purchase or action, CordFind may receive a commission. The reader should not pay a higher price because of that relationship. Eligibility, attribution, returns, and payment are controlled by the merchant’s current program terms.

Every active commercial link is marked for search engines as sponsored and is measured only with non-identifying fields such as merchant, offer, page, and placement. Read the privacy policy for details.

Editorial and safety separation

Commission rate does not determine connector compatibility, electrical ratings, generator placement, installation boundaries, or the outcome of a calculator. A merchant cannot pay to remove a warning or turn an uncertain connection into a recommendation.

• Primary sources and exact equipment labels control technical conclusions.
• Commercial modules are visually separate from instructional content.
• When multiple merchants are appropriate, availability and reader fit are considered before payout.
• Sponsored content, free products, and other material relationships require their own visible disclosure.

Amazon Associates disclosure

Amazon commission links are not active on CordFind. Before they are activated, the site-wide configuration must contain an approved tracking ID and the required statement will be displayed prominently: “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”

Amazon product prices, availability, customer ratings, and product media will not be copied or kept by hand. If those details are displayed, they must come from an approved Amazon tool or API and follow the current program license.

Prices, availability, and product claims

A “check current price” link is not a promise that a product is in stock or that a displayed price remains available. Readers should confirm the exact model, seller, return terms, warranty, listing, voltage, connector designation, and included accessories on the destination site.

CordFind does not call an item “tested” unless it was actually evaluated under a documented method. Specification-based comparisons are identified as such.

Installation and quote leads

CordFind does not currently send homeowner contact details to contractors or quote marketplaces. Before any lead form is introduced, the destination partners, compensation model, qualification rules, privacy notice, and consent language must be reviewed and shown before submission. General articles and calculators are not permission to contact a reader.
