Source hierarchy

We prioritize manufacturer specifications, product instructions, government safety publications, and recognized standards organizations. Secondary explanations can help identify questions, but they do not override primary documentation.

  • Connector ratings are checked against manufacturer documentation where available.
  • Safety statements are supported by public agency or manufacturer guidance.
  • Unverified forum advice is not treated as installation authority.

Keyword and page mapping

Each indexable page owns one primary search intent. Close variants, alternate word order, and plural forms are consolidated into the same page. A new URL is created only when the expected answer, decision path, and search results are materially different.

When two pages begin answering the same question, we merge the weaker page, redirect it to the stronger URL, and update internal links. Canonical tags are not used as a substitute for a clear content architecture.

Updates and corrections

Substantive updates change the visible review date and sitemap modification date. Corrections are made when a source changes, a connector fact is incomplete, or wording could encourage an unsafe interpretation.

For questions about a page, use the source links on that guide and compare them with the markings and instructions supplied with your equipment.

Visual standards

General guides may use AI-assisted editorial images to explain a setting or safety decision. These visuals are reviewed for unsafe implications, labeled in their captions, and use generic equipment without brand marks. They are illustrative and never replace a product manual, wiring diagram, or site-specific inspection.

When a page evaluates a named product or model, CordFind uses an authorized manufacturer or retailer asset where available, identifies the product and source, and does not present a generated look-alike as the real product.

Commercial independence

Compatibility, safety, and calculator results are produced before merchant or commission considerations. A commercial partner cannot pay to change an electrical conclusion, remove a warning, or make an uncertain configuration appear approved.

Commission-earning links, sponsored placements, free products, and other material relationships are disclosed where they can influence a reader’s decision. Commercial links are visually separated, labeled for readers, and marked as sponsored for search engines. A higher payout does not override model fit, source quality, availability, or reader safety.
