Information processed when the site is used

Hosting and security systems may process ordinary request information such as timestamp, requested URL, referring page, browser or device type, approximate region derived from network information, and diagnostic or security events. These records help deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and maintain availability.

CordFind uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic measurement and Vercel Speed Insights for real-user performance metrics. Vercel states that Web Analytics stores anonymized data, does not use cookies, and resets its generated visitor identifier daily. Review Vercel’s analytics privacy and compliance documentation.

Commercial-link measurement

When affiliate publishing is activated, CordFind may record a custom outbound-click event containing only the merchant name, internal offer ID, page path, and link placement. The event must not contain a person’s name, email address, telephone number, street address, search text, free-form response, or full destination URL.

Affiliate destinations are separate websites. A merchant or affiliate network may use cookies or similar technologies after a reader chooses to leave CordFind. Their privacy policy and settings control that processing. See the affiliate disclosure before using a commercial link.

Information CordFind does not currently request

• No CordFind user account or saved payment method.
• No newsletter subscription or marketing profile.
• No contractor quote, lead, or telephone-consent form.
• No precise location request through the browser.
• No sale of homeowner contact details.

If a feature that collects contact information is added, this policy and the form-specific notice must be updated before collection begins. The form must identify the receiving parties and obtain any legally required consent before data is shared.

Choices and retention

Readers can block scripts with browser controls or privacy tools, leave the site, and avoid commercial links. Blocking analytics does not prevent access to CordFind’s public articles or calculators. Aggregated analytics and hosting records are retained according to the configured Vercel plan and applicable operational requirements; CordFind does not use those records to build a cross-site advertising profile.

Children, security, and policy changes

CordFind is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly request children’s personal information. Reasonable technical and organizational controls are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Material changes will update the visible review date and, when relevant, the sitemap modification date. A dedicated public privacy contact method will be published here before CordFind activates any feature that collects a reader’s contact information.
